Remember - Memorial Day ideas

Happy Memorial Day

Are you taking a relaxing break from work today? I love a long weekend. Richard BBQ'd steaks last night an we had a wonderful dinner. Today I plan on working in the yard. I will take a moment to reflect though, and thank the soldiers who have died.

You see I don't want to forget what Memorial Day is really about. It was originally created to commemorate fallen U.S. soldiers. The sacrifices they made for our great country should never be forgotten.

To honor our fallen soldiers, I want to share some Memorial Day Websites. You can learn about the history of Memorial Day. And find out more about the wars where American soldiers died.

You’ll also find information about traditional Memorial Day observances. That includes the country-wide moment of silence.

Remembrance is a small price to pay for the freedom we enjoy.

Some web site www.kimkomando.com shared on her Memorial Weekend Blog

I picked these roses from my yard this morning. I think I will take them to the Newcastle Cemitary and place them on the grave of a fallen soldior...

Be safe, happy Memorial Day!
