A must for shopping – Magazine Street
Looking for a day of shopping while in New Orleans, louisiana? Arts, Antiques, fashion, jewelery, dining and home decor can easily be found on Magazine Street. Check out the listing of more than 180 stores at www.magazinestreet.com My friend Gillian and I enjoyed a day of inspiration and ideas while strolling the nearly 6 miles of street shopping known by locals as Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA.
Tip:
Catch the #11 Bus at the corner of Canal Street and Magazine (the corner of Sheraton Hotel). Ask the bus driver for the 1-day Pass for $3.00. This pass allows you to get on and off the bus as often as you like.
Order a copy of the official Magazine Street Shoppers Guide.
It's a handy, pocket-sized booklet that showcases all the great members of the Magazine Street Merchants Association. The color-coded maps guide you through six miles of impressive stops from Audubon Park Uptown, all the way to the French Quarter!
<-- We started out our day upon exit from the bus at this new coffee shop on ___. Loved the homemade quiche, breakfast burritos and specialty breads. The coffee and tea were perfect and the proprietors shared all their favorite haunts.
