Happy Mother's Day Friends

For my Mother's Day this year Richard bought me some wonderful loose tea from Teavana.  The store is nearby at a large mall.  The taste is flavorful and the kind he bought is called Golden Monkey.  He also bought a gift card, and drove me straight to the mall to see the store.  It felt strange as I entered the store and was offered a small tasting of tea.  Then they began to fan the aroma towards my nose.  I noticed it was quite expensive, and was loose leaf.  I purchased an additional few ounces of Earl Gray, English Breakfast, and chi to try.  I also bought some rock sugar to try.

Teavana tea is what is called an "Equal Trade Company" It has the desire to help the world community where tea is grown.  It says on their web site that Teavana annually donates to CARE 1% of all profits from teas sold. CARE allocates these funds to benefit the people who live in areas where our teas are grown

Now that I have done this I like buying tea this way. One it is more fresh and flavorful.  Two it is more green.  Richard had purchased a "to go"steel tumbler in that I can brew my tea in...here is my tumbler

Here is what their web site says about them:  Great tea works wonders. The delicious tastes and health benefits make tea a wonderful beverage - much better than the unhealthy alternatives. The Teavana dream began with an idea that people would enjoy fresh, high-quality tea in a place that was part Tea Bar, part Tea Emporium. We wanted to introduce people to the aromas, textures, and beneficial qualities of loose leaf teas while enlightening them with the history and variety of teas available. And this is how Teavana was born.

The stores are found in malls, or you can order from their online store at: http://www.teavana.com/about-us
